MUW has joined the Global Health Learning Opportunities program (GHLO) and signed an appropriate agreement with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) allowing our university to participate in this international student exchange program for elective rotations as Home Institution. Participation in this program will facilitate finding and processing elective rotation positions abroad.

The GHLO™ Collaborative facilitates global mobility for final year students pursuing clinical, research, or public health electives outside their home country. The GHLO application service utilizes a Web-based platform that streamlines the application process for students, enables home schools to endorse student applications and track progress.

MUW students can use the GHLO application service to apply to electives at other GHLO institutions in the GHLO Collaborative. Find the list of GHLO institutions at:

Individual student’s access to GHLO requires speaking with the GHLO administrator at MUW. All students participating in the program will  be granted browser accounts for the on-line GHLO application, which will allow them to view all the available elective offers and their details.
