Advanced MD programm for Bachelor holders

Advanced MD program in English for Bachelor holders, pre-med college graduates.

The Advanced M.D. Program is offered to College/University graduates having Bachelor of Science degree who have completed their pre-medical education and have at least 1200 hours of pre-med courses.

Applicants are eligible for admission only if they:

1.   Hold a citizenship different than Polish, or may be of Polish descent and thus hold dual citizenship.

2.   Demonstrate a College/University Diploma, issued no earlier than in 2012, with Bachelor of Science degree and a record of academic achievements of their pre-medical education in English language, at least 1200 hours of pre-med courses (obligatory Biology, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry and Physics or Math)

3.  Present certificate of completing MCAT, UKCAT, GAMSAT exam or equal.

4.  Pay application fee in the amount of 200,00 EUR (non-refundable) on your individual  account  number provided by the on-line admission system.

 Applicants for this program will be qualified based on their pre-medical education results and MCAT, GAMSAT or UKCAT score.  Admission Board will consider each applicant’s personal attributes and commitment to the career in medicine.

 

Note: There is no entrance exam nor interview for Advanced MD program in English.

Information to all applicants:

 

On-line registration will be open from March 6, 2017 until June 16, 2017.

Decisions will be sent to the candidates' emails until the end of July 2017.

 

Admission requirements and criteria for Advanced MD program in English:

     1.  Register on-line on website  https://recruitment.wum.edu.pl/irk/irk/strony/rejestracjakandydata.html (remember your password).

     2.  Fill in the application form on-line, especially the obligatory fields indicated by the system.

3.  Enclose the following documents: BSc diploma, transcript of records, MCAT, GAMSAT, UKCAT or equal certificate, English language certificate, copy of your valid passport, confirmation of the application fee payment, your photo and other documents requested by the system.

Note: Application without the above mentioned documents enclosed will not be complete and valid.

4.  Check the data and save the application form in the database.

5.  Pay application fee in the amount of 200,00 EUR (non-refundable) on your individual  account number provided by the on-line admission system.

Please note that the only way to register and apply for Medical Studies in English in the Medical University of Warsaw is on-line – via the on-line admission system. We will not accept other forms of application.

The University is not responsible for incorrectly completed application.

The University is not eligible to inform third parties by phone.

 

Upon acceptance for admission an applicant is obliged to submit the following documents:

1. Completed on-line application form (form available on the web page: http://2wl.wum.edu.pl/en/node/831)

2. Declaration of the payment of university fee (form available on the web page: http://2wl.wum.edu.pl/en/node/831)

3. Official College/University Diploma, issued no earlier than in 2012, with Bachelor Degree, completed in English language, must be certified with an affixed apostille in the case of documents issued in the countries that are party to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961.

4.   Official College/University Transcript(s).

5.   Official high school-leaving examination certificate.

6.   English language certificate only for applicants whose native language is not English should provide one of the below certificates:

     IELTS exam passed with no less than 6,0 points,

     TOEFL exam passed with no less than 90 points,

     CEFR exam on B2 level,

     TOEIC exam passed with no less than 700 points.

     Minimal requirements for Scandinavian applicants with regards to their English proficiency possessed on their high school-leaving examination certificate are as follows:

Minimal grade for Norwegian applicants: 4,

 Minimal grade for Swedish applicants: C,

Minimal grade for Danish applicants: 7

                 

7.     Photocopy of a valid passport.

8.     Health certificate completed by a physician stating that the applicant is fit for the medical studies (form available on the web page: http://2wl.wum.edu.pl/en/node/831

a. copy of vaccination records for Hepatitis B (three does)

b. result from Salmonella & Shigella test.

9.    Four passport size photographs (3,5 x 5,0 cm)

10. Confirmation of the application fee payment amounting to 200,00 EUR (non-refundable)

11.  American and Canadian citizens are additionally requested to deliver a copy of their Social Security Number.

12.   Personal statement.

13.  Standardized medical admission test: MCAT, GAMSAT, UKCAT or equal.

14. Proof of health insurance valid in Poland (EHIC for EU citizens).

15. Copy of a student visa or other document confirming that the stay in Poland is legal.

16.  Additional documents e.g. letter of recommendation, volunteering.

 

All the submitted documents must be certify translated to English also should be originals or copies certified by a notary.

Please be aware that applicants who submit incomplete and/or incorrect documents will not be admitted to University by the Admission Board.
